Student Voices: Girls basketball team makes a splash
The Mt. Ararat High School girls basketball team has been making a slam dunk this season. They currently boast a 10-6 record with only two games remaining at the time I am writing this.
Thinking in Public: Pleasant surprises
I received two packages today from commercial sources that proudly proclaim that prompt, free delivery of their products is assured. In one case, the item was received within 48 hours of ordering.
Poems from Home: Richard Craig Sipe
Welcome to the first edition of "Poems from Home," a quarterly feature of the Harpswell Anchor. Each season, "Poems from Home" will include the work of a local poet or two in conversation with writer Kara Douglas.
Letter writer to be commended

She is to be commended for sharing this information as a "warning so no one else experiences the fright of losing their finances and personal info to a stranger without scruples."

My letter is to express my support for Tyler Washburn's election to the Maine School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors.
School board elections count
I am voting for Ryan Larsen for the Harpswell school board seat for Maine School Administrative District 75. Since moving to Harpswell in 1976, I have witnessed the importance of school board elections as a mother, a teacher, a PTO member, a community activist and now as a retired educator.
Excellent addition to school board
As a mother of four children who attended school within Maine School Administrative District 75, and as a resident of Harpswell, I highly recommend and support Ryan Larsen for school board.
All about the kids
I am writing to announce my support for Tyler Washburn's bid for membership on Maine School Administrative District 75's board.
