Two incumbent town officials will stand for reelection without opposition in Harpswell's election this March. Select Board member David Chipman and Maine School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors member Frank Wright will be the only candidates on the ballot, according to Town Clerk Cathy Doughty.

Harpswell Select Board member David Chipman will seek another three-year term in March, while school board member Frank Wright also appears likely to run again.

The future of The School House 1913 restaurant on Harpswell Neck is uncertain after a fire in an apartment above the restaurant on Nov. 28. Despite a quick stop by firefighters and minimal damage to the restaurant space, the business has been closed since the fire.
