Homeowner Catherine waited a while before she called Gina at the Town Office to apply for home repairs. Years before, Catherine had signed up for the Harpswell Aging at Home newsletter at the suggestion of a colleague at the nonprofit where she works.

Meals in a Pinch volunteer delivery drivers love the opportunity to begin new friendships, enjoy established relationships, and help in many ways. These volunteer drivers go above and beyond and say they receive much more than they give.

The phone rang one evening. "Tom," a Harpswell resident who agreed to share his story on the condition of anonymity, couldn't quite understand the mumbling voice. "Who do we have here?" asked Tom. "Hi, Grandpa, it's your grandson," the voice said.
