Library Connections: Curtis celebrates McCloskey, introduces Maine’s first electric bookmobile

Signs of spring are popping up all over Curtis Memorial Library: The butterfly murals have been hung on the fence around the Nancy Bouchard Laffely Children's Garden, the drawers of the Seed Library are filling up outside the New Books Room, and the outdoor furniture has returned to the Reading Garden and the Middle Street patio.

Cooking at 43° North: Best-laid plans

It's May. Spring has sprung and summer is coming. The days are becoming warmer and it is definitely getting greener outside. May is National Barbecue Month, which is fitting, as Memorial Day is on the 29th and many of us will host cookouts.

May we all be helpers
