Thank you for your recent piece on school safety forums. It’s important and timely because, unfortunately, we’ve seen a huge spike in gunfire on school grounds in the U.S. in recent years. Because these incidents have been happening for decades, there is plenty of research available on effective strategies.

We are writing in support of Dave Chipman for Select Board and encourage all Harpswell residents to go to the polls on March 9 or vote absentee by March 2 to make their choice and voice heard.

Today I became one of them. In fact, so did my wife. We have joined the ranks of those many, many people who over the years have had good reason to praise Harpswell Neck Fire and Rescue.

Please accept this letter in support of Frank Wright’s reelection to the Maine School Administrative District 75 board. I live in Harpswell and have two daughters in MSAD 75 schools. The number of children in this community whose lives Frank has influenced for the better is uncountable.
