Norma Jean Conway

Norma Jean (Huff) Conway died at home on June 21, 2026, surrounded by her family, four months after being diagnosed with cancer. She died just days before turning 84.

Town should keep us informed

Deep support for education

From Rev. Allison Smith: As a parent of three girls, I want to thank the Harpswell community for its support of postsecondary education! As you may know, it is very expensive for kids to go to college. Thankfully community college has become more reasonable!

Music as a bridge

From the Harpswell Bandstand Committee: There are just so many folks to thank for the great success of the Harpswell Bandstand by the Sea 2026 season preview held May 9 at the Orr's Island Schoolhouse. The excellent food and music and the stimulating crowd created just the right vibe to lead us forward to our summer concert series, opening Thursday, June 25.
