Dog owners: Keep beach clean

Once again I am writing to dog owners who walk their dogs in Mitchell Field. There are no consequences for not picking up after your dog, but it is a courtesy to others who want to use the park and who are not dog owners.

Two dog stations provide free dog bags, with two more stations to be added in the future.

Mitchell Field comprises about 120 acres of paved roads, trails and a beach. There are wetlands and many aquifers that all run down to the beach area. The potential for carrying dog waste down to the beach is high.

Please show your appreciation for this beautiful property by helping to keep it clean and healthy for walkers and swimmers for years to come.

Grateful for Mingo Grant

I am writing because I received one of the Mingo Grants last year. I am currently attending Lafayette College, and this grant has been very helpful in covering some of my tuition costs.
