Students explore career options at Region 10’s summer academy

Students in grades seven through nine learn about woodworking during Summer Career Academy at Region 10 Technical High School in Brunswick.

Brunswick’s Region 10 Technical High School recently hosted more than 70 students in grades seven through nine for its Summer Career Academy, a week of hands-on activities and career exploration.

Students participated in outdoor education and woodworking projects; learned about training for emergency medical technicians and nursing assistants; received an introduction to creative digital media and graphic design; and worked on auto collision repair.

The students came from Region 10’s three sending school districts — the Brunswick School Department; Maine School Administrative District 75, which includes Harpswell; and Regional School Unit 5.
