Walk on the left

We live in South Harpswell, close to the end of Route 123. This stretch of road is popular with walkers, especially in the summer, but it is also busy year-round.

Join in! Is anyone else feeling pangs of anxiety as we enter yet another difficult winter season? I don't know about you, but I need a distraction — something positive and fun to focus on and help stave off those feelings of isolation, gloom and doom.

It was easy to close on my target because the road in Georgetown was lined with vehicles. I arrived before noon on Jan. 2 to find the lawn packed with at least 60 people bundled up against a cold mist.
