A heartfelt thank you

I want to thank everyone who voted in the June 14 Maine House District 99 Democratic primary. I am deeply moved by the expression of confidence from all of you.

Musician in search of musicians

Greetings! Having recently moved to town full time (summer resident since 1993) and being a musician and a recording and mixing engineer, I'd like to start to meet like-minded locals by offering free "small-scale" recording and mixing services.

Pick up, please

I am inspired to write this letter by a column I read in The Times Record written by Susan Olcott: "Spring cleanup can protect coastal ecosystems," March 31.

Dyakuyu, School House 1913

Do you need a hand?

John Gilliam Day

I grew up in New England, but I'm a relative newcomer to year-round living in Maine. I have to say, when people spoke of mud season, I didn't know what to expect.

Letter writer to be commended

Kudos to Karin Soderberg for her January letter to the editor relating her experience getting "caught in a computer scam." She is to be commended for sharing this information as a "warning so no one else experiences the fright of losing their finances and personal info to a stranger without scruples."

Adapting to the times

Relative to your November piece on clam harvesters, five or six years ago, when we were living in Freeport, there was a study done in Casco Bay on the decline of the clam population, I believe by the University of Maine.
