Barry Dolley

Barry William Dolley died peacefully at home in Harpswell on May 31, among loving family, following a long battle with cancer. He lived most of his life in Winslow before retiring to Harpswell in 2005 with his wife, Sandy.

James Ian Gaudet, 86, of Harpswell, died on May 13 at Hill House in Bath, after a long, brave battle with Alzheimer's. Jim was born on March 20, 1938, in Rumford, to William Fred Gaudet and Ruth Dorothy Mills Gaudet.

Olcott Toothaker

Olcott "Tubba" Toothaker, 78, formerly of Harpswell, passed away at home in Brunswick on May 28. Tubba was born in Maine to Lucile Grover and Stanley Toothaker on Sept. 15, 1945, graduated from Brunswick High School, and married Linda Bernier at age 24 on Sept. 27, 1969.

Robert Hanford Ingersoll

Robert Hanford Ingersoll, of Chestertown, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on April 29. Bob was born on June 13, 1947, to Daniel Winthrop Ingersoll and Clare "Pat" Stevens Ingersoll.

Nancy Currier Dorian, professor emeritus of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, an esteemed linguist, passed away suddenly and peacefully on April 24 in Brunswick. She left behind a remarkable legacy in the field of language preservation.

Jean Chiquoine

Jean Dickson Chiquoine passed away peacefully on May 8, at age 96. She spent her childhood in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, where she met John Chiquoine, the love of her life.

Anne Brooks was born on March 9, 1931, in Kolkata, India, and passed away peacefully on April 19, 2023, at home in Bozeman, Montana. She had just celebrated her 92nd birthday.

Robert Anderson, 70, of Harpswell, passed away at home. He was born in Maine on Feb. 10, 1954. Bob was a lifelong resident of Harpswell and made the peninsula his career and passion.

Rita C. Mynahan (Roux), 78, died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 19, at AdventHealth Orlando East hospital, following a brief illness. Her loving family was by her side.
