Running for House District 99

I am running for a seat in the Maine House of Representatives for District 99, which includes Harpswell and a small portion of Brunswick. I am a resident of Orr’s Island and currently work as a municipal firefighter for the town of Harpswell. I also serve as assistant chief for the Orr’s and Bailey Islands Fire Department, where I volunteer as a firefighter and an emergency medical technician.

I am a veteran of the United States Army and have worked in commercial and residential construction, as a sternman aboard multiple lobster boats, and as a middle school science teacher.  I am vice chair of Harpswell’s Marine Resources Committee and am an ardent supporter of Maine’s working waterfront.

I am running for office because I hope to change policies that have hurt Maine’s working families. I believe that available affordable housing should be provided to Mainers before noncitizen migrants who are not required to pay rent and who receive cash stipends. I believe we must do a better job educating our students, as Maine’s educational standing continues to decline when compared to other states. I believe in preserving parental and personal liberties, while protecting the most vulnerable among us — our children — from what I view as dangerous and irreversible medical trends and untested inoculations.

I believe the government exists to serve the citizenry and the federal government should be accountable to the states and their people, not the other way around. I believe in term limits for elected officials, the enduring genius of the U.S. Constitution and the freedoms enumerated therein. I believe in national sovereignty, the enforcement of borders and avoiding entanglements in foreign wars.

If you feel your beliefs align with any of those expressed above, please vote for me in November.
