An amazing team

This is a letter of appreciation and recognition for an amazing team of men. I am so grateful to the Harpswell Aging at Home repair team for their generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. Their kindness and expertise made a positive impact on my mother’s life.

On two different Thursdays, these men volunteered their time and talents to build my mother a wheelchair ramp and much more! She now has a safe and independent way to enter and exit her home. The team worked diligently to make safety updates throughout her home, inside and out.

I want to recognize both Peter Wilson and John Ferraro, who headed up this project. They were so kind as they worked with my mother to design a ramp that would be just right for her. The insight that both Peter and John had when they did the initial inspection was amazing. They didn’t miss a thing, making many suggestions that would ensure my mother’s safety. Then they created a project list and materials list, and completed the necessary documentation to secure a grant to fund the work.

To simply say thank you to Peter, John, and the whole team of volunteers doesn’t seem like enough. Please know you are appreciated and an inspiration. HAH repair team, may you be proud of the work you do, the people you are, and the difference you make. Thank you!

Denise Perry, Harpswell Neck
