The Orr’s and Bailey Islands Fire Department is offering an opportunity to order a commemorative paver as a way to show support. The pavers are being installed along the front walkway to the Orr’s Island Schoolhouse.

The schoolhouse, next to OBIFD’s station on Orr’s Island, has become a symbol of the community, along with the Cribstone Bridge. Last fall, OBIFD installed a monument along the walkway to honor the many volunteers who have supported fire and rescue services in the community.

Each red brick paver is engraved with the buyer’s name or other text of their choice, allowing supporters to express recognition or appreciation for anyone or anything that has made a difference in their lives. Each paver costs $50.

To order a paver, go to obifd.org.
