Music as a bridge

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

There are just so many folks to thank for the great success of the Harpswell Bandstand by the Sea 2026 season preview held May 9 at the Orr’s Island Schoolhouse. The excellent food and music and the stimulating crowd created just the right vibe to lead us forward to our summer concert series, opening Thursday, June 25.

We are especially grateful to the merchant members of our greater Harpswell community who contributed to our “experiential” silent auction. It was a tremendous success, and the proceeds will provide critical support for our Bandstand by the Sea performance fund.

The mission of the Bandstand by the Sea is to present music as a bridge that unites our Harpswell community. When you come to our Thursday evening concerts this summer and see folks sharing friendship and fun, know that, as a supporter of our fundraising event, you’ve been a vital part of making this happen. On behalf of the Harpswell Bandstand Committee, thank you!
