Jason Terry, director of racquets at Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness in Brunswick, has been recognized for his dedication to player development and community engagement with two major honors. Terry has been named the Maine Tennis Association’s 2024 Adult Coaching Professional of the Year and the U.S. Tennis Association New England’s 2025 Adult Coaching Professional of the Year.
These back-to-back accolades celebrate Terry’s commitment to elevating tennis in Maine and throughout New England. Terry has inspired hundreds of adult players to improve their games, both technically and mentally.
“Coaching is about helping people grow, not only as players but as competitors and individuals,” Terry said. “I’m honored and grateful to be recognized by both the MTA and USTA New England. These awards reflect the passion and hard work of everyone in our tennis community.”
Under Terry’s leadership, Maine Pines has become a hub for racquet sports, featuring dynamic programs for adults, juniors and tournament players, as well as the integration of modern tools like video analysis and ball machine training.
Terry continues to advocate for lifelong learning through sport, fostering an environment where every player — regardless of age or level — can find joy, challenge and community on the court.
