Hats off to bandstand volunteers

The weekly bandstand concerts are perfect events for Harpswell. This beautiful venue is easy to attend and welcomes all our residents and visitors. Best of all, the artists that play there have been excellent and from a wide variety of styles.

The Mallett Brothers Band sure was great, and we appreciate the volunteers tackling and offering a larger event. I can’t wait to see next summer’s schedule. Hats off to the volunteers who put together an engaging schedule for us — another attribute that makes Harpswell a special place.

John Fitch, Harpswell

Local management for Clark Cove

From Geoff Feiss: The Clark Cove property off Allen Point Road has been owned by the state for more than 50 years for the express purpose of providing recreational opportunities to Mainers. Now, the state and the town are proposing to enter into a management agreement to ensure this 18-acre parcel of shorefront land is better used for the benefit of residents and visitors.
