Marijke Damrell’s acrylic painting “October Marsh” will be one of many works on display during the Sebascodegan Artists Cooperative show at Centennial Hall from Aug. 12-28.

The Sebascodegan Artists Cooperative will exhibit work by 16 members at Centennial Hall in Harpswell Center from Aug. 12-28.

“Through our exhibit, we endeavor to present a variety of artistic expressions of life and living, each piece unique to the artist,” the cooperative said in an announcement. “Using a variety of mediums, we present our creative thought processes in an art form.”

“We are hopeful our exhibit will encourage many to begin or continue an interest in art, perhaps to solidify a suggested belief that there is a level of artistry within each of us,” the cooperative said. “We present a style range from realistic to abstract to accommodate every preference.”

For the first time, the cooperative will host an opening reception from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12. Centennial Hall will then be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Aug. 13-28. A closing reception will take place from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27.

The Sebascodegan Artists Cooperative has exhibited art for more than 30 years.
