Installation of LED streetlights to begin soon

The town of Harpswell is moving forward with a conversion to efficient LED streetlights, which will reduce the town’s costs.

Through a public bid process, the town selected RealTerm Energy, a Maryland company that has assisted many Maine municipalities with LED streetlight conversions. The town and RealTerm have created a final list of where the LED fixtures will be located.

The fixtures have been ordered. Installation, by subcontractor On Target Utility Services, is expected to begin in July. Questions or concerns should be directed to Town Administrator Kristi Eiane at keiane@town.harpswell.me.us or 207-833-5771.
