A sadder place to live

On Sept. 27, approximately 28 “Voter ID for ME” signs were legally placed in Harpswell. As of this writing, almost all of them have been defaced with swastikas or black marker changing the number in Question 1 to an 8. After the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was notified, most of the swastika signs were removed.

I cannot imagine living in a town where this is happening. The people responsible for this vandalism are obviously disturbed. Their actions say more about them than they do about Voter ID for ME.

Whoever did this is not winning, but they’ve made Harpswell a sadder place to live.

Who are we to judge?

I'm not sure what to make of your August article looking at the legacy of the Skolfield family and its "ties to slave economy." The article seems to suggest that we would all do well to "reexamine" this family and its legacy in the light of "new research."
