Outstanding contributions

From Rev. Allison Smith: As a parent of three girls, I want to thank the Harpswell community for its support of postsecondary education! As you may know, it is very expensive for kids to go to college. Thankfully community college has become more reasonable!

From Liz Taylor: I love reading, books and libraries. However, I think it's time for Harpswell to stop appropriating money so anyone in Harpswell can get a free library card at Curtis Memorial Library, as it's not a good use of tax dollars.

Here are some housing nightmares. A single mother of three leaves panicked posts on social media: Her landlord is selling her rental and she can't find another. A longtime fisherman says bluntly, "My daughter wants to fish, but she'll never be able to live here."
