Professionalism of responders exemplary

Today I became one of them. In fact, so did my wife. We have joined the ranks of those many, many people who over the years have had good reason to praise Harpswell Neck Fire and Rescue. The day started off innocently enough but rapidly deteriorated as the carbon monoxide alarm went off.

After doing all the common things informed by denial, I contacted the chief, who came right over. He measured the air and found us to be in danger. He called for a fan to evacuate the dangerous gas from our home. I called a furnace service to clean and recalibrate the culprit that grumbles in our crawl space.

The professionalism, thoroughness and kindness of the responders was exemplary. We are happy to join the chorus that sings their praises.

Rev. Dr. Douglas Nielsen, Basin Point
