Harpswell’s Quahog Bay Conservancy is offering scholarships to a select group of Harpswell students interested in pursuing a career on the waterfront.

Each recipient of its Working Waterfront Science Scholarship receives $5,000 plus a laptop, the group said. The scholarship targets students in Harpswell who hope to study marine or environmental science, oceanography, aquaculture, biology, engineering or entrepreneurship, among other fields.

To be eligible, applicants must be high school seniors living in Harpswell who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree full time at an accredited educational institution. They must have a 3.0 grade-point average or higher and submit application documents, including an explanation of how the scholarship would benefit them and how the funds would be used.

Those who wish to apply can email office@quahogbay.org with the subject line “WWSS 2026 Application.” More information is available at quahogbay.org or by calling 207-522-1105.

Multiple scholarships may be awarded in a given year. The application deadline is May 30.
