Founded by Samantha Bohan in 2023, this small family-run farm operates in Reed Cove off Orr’s Island. Bohan comes from an eighth-generation fishing family, served on Harpswell’s Aquaculture Working Group and is vice chair of its Fisheries Committee.

Owner Ken Beebe founded his oyster farm on the Mill Pond in Harpswell’s Basin Cove in 2008. He says the cold water, refreshed twice daily by the tides, contributes to the sweet flavor of his oysters. While Beebe is retiring from oyster farming as an occupation, he intends to keep his lease.
