Chipman supports interests of all

We are writing in support of Dave Chipman for Select Board and encourage all Harpswell residents to go to the polls on March 9 or vote absentee by March 2 to make their choice and voice heard.

Through his experience as Select Board member for the last seven years and during his first term from 1999 to 2002, Dave has consistently shown his ability to support the interests of all Harpswell people. His family has lived here for many generations — his fifth-great-grandfather signed Harpswell’s articles of incorporation back in 1758 — and he has deep personal interest in Harpswell’s heritage and values.

Through his working career, his volunteer work at Harpswell Community TV, his years serving Harpswell in committee capacities, and through his broad network of colleagues and friends, he has shown his understanding of the needs of newcomers, as well as those of the fishing and farming communities. His strong communication skills, his understanding of the business of government and his record of accomplishments prove the value that his years of experience provide to all our citizens.

Whether enjoying a Grange breakfast, a Lunch with Friends or a community celebration such as a Veterans Day program, he is a person always willing to listen, share or advise anyone seeking his help.

Please join us in voting to reelect a hardworking and seasoned Select Board member, Dave Chipman.

Lili and John Ott, Harpswell Neck

Our disaster action team members respond at a moment's notice to comfort these families, providing critical care after the unimaginable happens.

An integral piece of our community

Everyone who drives down Route 123, or "the Neck," passes by a familiar landmark — Two Coves Farm on Neils Point Road. Run by Joe and Laura Grady, the farm is home to herds of sheep, pigs, chickens, and recently added Belted Galloways, an uncommon species of beef cow.
