Cliff Trail rescue

I would like to thank all the Harpswell fire departments, MC-2, Deputy Welch, and the many volunteers who came to my rescue on Cliff Trail a few weeks ago. I appreciate their quick response and their care with transporting me off the trail and to Mid Coast Hospital.

I was fortunate to have only bumps and bruises and I am on the mend. A week in sunny Florida sure helped with healing. Many thanks to all of you.

I am writing to encourage support for the central fire station on Mountain Road.

Letter writer to be commended

Kudos to Karin Soderberg for her January letter to the editor relating her experience getting "caught in a computer scam." She is to be commended for sharing this information as a "warning so no one else experiences the fright of losing their finances and personal info to a stranger without scruples."
