On the night of two deadly mass shootings in Lewiston, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office added patrols around the shooter’s ex-girlfriend’s home in Harpswell to protect her and watch for the suspect, according to police.
Recent attention to speeding in the Gurnet area has also brought scrutiny to the nearby intersection of Route 24 and Cundy’s Harbor Road. Now, the Maine Department of Transportation says it will replace that intersection’s yield signs with stop signs by December.
