Do you need a hand?

Harpswell Aging at Home wants to help you, our Harpswell neighbors, stay safer, warmer and drier as you continue to live in your homes. Do you need a hand? We can fix or add handrails or grab bars, do floor repairs, improve lighting, install handicap ramps, add insulation, make stair and deck repairs, etc.

It’s a win-win, as our Home Repairs Team enjoys each other’s company, has a lot of fun and gets immense gratification from doing this work.

In the six years since its inception, the team has completed over 150 projects around town, but we have no new ones in the queue at this time. If you are someone who could benefit from these services, please call the town office at 207-833-5771 to apply. Age and income are considered as part of the application, and confidentiality is maintained throughout the process.

If you are aware of someone who could benefit from these services, please encourage them to apply. We know that everyone can use a hand sometimes.

John Ferraro, Harpswell Aging at Home
