A $10,825 donation from Cook’s Lobster & Ale House will help the town of Harpswell provide heating assistance to residents.
Cook’s Lobster owners Jennifer and Nick Charboneau presented the gift to the Board of Selectmen on Thursday, Feb. 17. The funds come from the Bailey Island restaurant’s annual fundraiser for the cause, a dinner and silent auction in December.
The Charboneaus also presented a donation of $3,412 from Maine Biofuel, for a total gift of $14,237. Cook’s Lobster works with Maine Biofuel to recycle its cooking oil for use as heating fuel.
“We are eternally grateful for the love and support the town of Harpswell and the people of Harpswell have shown to us, so we will continue to do our part to give back as best we can,” Jennifer Charboneau said.
