Hidden gem

My husband and I have stayed on Mackerel Cove four times within the last eight years. Yes, it is a hidden gem and one of our favorite areas of Maine. (See “A summer in Maine’s ‘hidden gem’,” October.) We hope it remains a hidden gem and does not become so popular that it becomes overcrowded and overpriced. We have seen this happen to another favorite of ours: Rockport, Massachusetts. Keep Harpswell a gem!
