Harbor student earns ‘highest honors’

Cundy’s Harbor student Molly Greenleaf earned “highest honors” to make the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New Hampshire. Greenleaf, a 2025 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School, is studying biology.

To earn highest honors, students must be enrolled in a full-time course load, 12 or more credits, and earn a GPA of 3.85 or better.

Harpswell creators of ‘Kamikaze’ comic plan Kickstarter campaign to fund latest book

Moving Ink Media, the creative company behind the award-winning web comic and animated short "Kamikaze," will launch a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign on July 22. Their goal is to publish "Kamikaze: Before the Storm - Part 2," the fourth volume in their science fiction graphic novel series. The monthlong campaign has a goal of $11,000 to fund the final polish and printing of the 120-page comic book.

Recycling Center offers free shredding

The Harpswell Recycling Center will offer its annual drive-thru shredding service on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon. Free to residents, the service will be provided by Shredding On Site, of Bangor, which will have a truck parked behind the center.
