Storm leaves 3,000 without power in Harpswell

About 3,000 Central Maine Power customers in Harpswell were without electricity Friday afternoon as high winds and heavy rain moved through the area.

As of 5 p.m., 2,987 out of 4,762 CMP customers in Harpswell were without power, or roughly 63%.

CMP’s website said the outages were weather-related. Crews were responding as conditions allowed, but restoration times were not immediately available.
