Gratitude for graffiti cleanup

Ken Oehmig, left, and Tom Carr, of the Harpswell Town Lands Committee, remove graffiti from rocks at Giant’s Stairs on Bailey Island on Aug. 18. (Donna Newton photo)

I recently spent a week at The Driftwood Inn and, while walking at Giant’s Stairs, I noticed graffiti on some of the rocks. A couple days later, I noticed two men cleaning off the rocks. I have no idea who these men were, but a note of gratitude goes out to them.

Donna Newton, Bernardston, Massachusetts

Editor’s note: The men cleaning up the graffiti were Tom Carr and Ken Oehmig, of the Harpswell Town Lands Committee.
